Another Spring Pledge Drive has come and gone, and our goals have been exceeded beyond our wildest dreams. This is all thanks to YOU, KCRW supporter! Missed your chance to join or renew during drive time? Fear not, we’ll gladly accept your membership today

As our own personal thank you gift for kicking in, we’re bringing you a double dose of Raul Campos. On deck: The latest edition of Global Beat: México. Hosted by Campos, and curated by NPR’s Betto Arcos to share an empowering anthem written by a formerly incarcerated woman, a slinky multilingual hip-hop track, and a slow and smooth indie orchestral number out of Tijuana.

But wait, there’s more. This edition of MBE is also home to Campos’ interview with Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore. On the heels of the legendary band’s 15th (!) studio LP, Memento Mori, founding member Gore opens up to Campos about the band’s endurance, building a life around music, and embracing mortality.

Plus, A searing new cut from vocalist par excellence Danielle Ponder, another hit from Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s excellent new album V, and a winsome new tune from quirky-cool, LA singer-songwriter Joey Dosik.
