entitled 'Terra Dance'. Originally from Senegal, West Africa, Claude Gomis now makes his home and his music in New York City. He is the son of Orchestra Baobab lead singer, Rudy Gomis, and literally grew up onstage dancing and playing drums with them. Seeds of Baobab, Claude's first full-length release finds his continent-combining sound in full bloom: Afro-Beat grooves meet Big Apple beats and words of many languages dance around exotic melodies. Musicians include Fela Kuti collaborator Jojo Kuo, Paul Simon bandmember Tony Cedras and a multi-national cast of contributors.
