Eric D. Johnson started Fruit Bats as a four-track project in his bedroom. He was soon coaxed out of shyness while playing as a side-man for a few notable bands: The Shins, Califone and Vetiver. Fruit Bats eagerly awaited fourth release finds a newly reassembled group performing a fine batch of songs. Today’s Top Tune is the title track from The Ruminant Band.
