Ethereal UK jazz group The Smile follows Jack White’s “No Name” lead with a new vinyl only (or vinyl first?) single.

Two doesn’t make a trend, but it does put us on high alert. Following Jack White’s recent vinyl-first approach to making his 2024 LP No Name a smash hit, UK ethereal jazz band The Smile makes a similar move by stealthily dropping some recent live show tracks onto a 12” single. Hear both of those cuts, “Don’t Get Me Started” and “The Slip,” as part of this FREAKS ONLY. Plus, the latest from Kit Sebastian, Pearl & The Oysters, and PawPaw Rod.
