Will Pershing Square Get a Design Overhaul?

Hosted by

Pershing Square is one of L.A.’s oldest public spaces, and it has gone through several design changes over the years. Now there’s a call to overhaul the most recent iteration, designed by Ricardo Legorreta. Can a redesign salvage a park that was shaped by a parking structure? And what is the private sector’s involvement in the new plans? Urban Planner Brian Glodney and Sara Hernandez, of Councilman Jose Huizar’s office, talk about Pershing Square Renew, a non-profit that is working on potentially redesigning the space.
