Simon Doonan Wants “Fash-tainment” in the 2016 Election

Washington politicians aren’t known for daring fashion choices, but Simon Doonan, writer and creative ambassador for Barney’s New York, wants that to change.

In a recent column for Slate he montaged Hillary Clinton, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and others in catwalk styles he felt better expressed their true selves, while providing us with “fash-tainment” during a long drawn out campaign season. He discussed his choices with Frances Anderton in front of an intimate live audience this past weekend.
