Hosted by

Ernesto Hernandez Lopez is a law professor at Chapman University. He's been closely following the legal battles surrounding the Sriracha factory in Irwindale and wrote an op-ed about it in the Chicago Tribune. Hoy Fung Foods, the maker of the spicy condiment, moved its Sriracha factory from Rosemead to Irwindale in 2012. Over the past year, residents of Irwindale have been complaining of noxious smells coming from the factory. The LA Times reports that David Tran, creator of Sriracha, is now entertaining offers to move his factory as far away as Texas. We'll be following the story and keep you up to date on our Facebook page. (This segment includes part of our interview with Randy Clemens from October, 2013.)
