Dr. Fred Opie is a professor of history and foodways at Babson College. His latest book is Zora Neale Hurston on Florida Food: Recipes, Remedies & Simple Pleasures. The book investigates the regional food described in Hurston's novels. He shares a Sweet Potato Recipe from 1935 on the Good Food blog.
