Vitamin Supplements

In our fast-paced and busy world, it has become increasingly difficult to prepare and eat well-rounded, healthy meals.  The result is an explosion of supplements and vitamins that help us to meet our nutritional needs – in the form of a convenient pill.

Dr. Will Clower discusses whether the common practice of taking supplements is helpful, harmful, or irrelevant for your health. New research shows that getting your vitamins from pills can cause health problems, whereas getting them from your food is very good for your body.  Dr. Clower talks about the most common vitamins, the food sources that produce health benefits, and the studies that show how these same vitamins are not healthy at all when taken as supplements.
