Clinton and Trump say they're ready to be commander in chief

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump appeared on the NBC presidential forum this week and tried to appear ready to lead the military in times of crisis. Host Matt Lauer spent most of his time with Clinton focused on how she handled classified information as Secretary of State and Trump continued his praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin. How serious are the other presidential candidates on the roster? Gary Johnson, the former New Mexico governor and Libertarian Party presidential nominee, was stumped when he was asked what to do about Aleppo. Rick Wilson, an advisor to independent candidate Evan McMullin, said his candidate is vetting vice presidential candidates and is gaining ground in many states. What role should these candidates play in the election?

Josh Barro (Business Insider) moderates from the Center. On the Left, Katrina vanden Heuvel (The Nation). Rich Lowry (National Review) is on the Right. Rick Wilson (Republican consultant, advisor to independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin) will be our special guest.
