Donald Trump Is Hot in Cleveland

No one on our panel agreed with Donald Trump, but everyone found something appealing about his presence at the first Republican presidential debate of the season. Reihan Salam, executive director at National Review, says "Trump weirdly raised the quality of the discussion" by making the other debaters look better. Juliette Kayyem, former Department of Homeland Security assistant secretary says she was starting to appreciate Trump. "He's not Michelle Bachman, he's not crazy." Bob Scheer saw Chris Christie and his take on surveillance as the loser. "Christie was the fool here." Immigration and Iran also dominate the discussion.

Josh Barro (New York Times) moderates from the Center. On the Left, Robert Scheer (TruthDig.com). Reihan Salam (National Review) is on the Right. Juliette Kayyem (Harvard Kennedy School of Government) is our special guest.
