Obama, Candidate in Chief

Hosted by , and

A weaker than expected jobs report cast a pall over President Obama's feisty week taking on Mitt Romney and the US Supreme Court. Obama seems to be in full campaign mode, as Romney inches closer to inevitability in his race to become the Republican nominee. It was another week of budget battles, with Obama and Mitt framing each other as out of touch while Paul Ryan touts his budget plan as the solution to a yawning deficit and growing social obligations. Also, political pundits begin playing the Veepstakes game, and North Korea prepares to fire off a missile despite warnings that it will be seen as a provocation - and a setback to efforts to move forward nuclear talks with Kim the Third, the country's newest leader. (This week's special guest is Joshua Treviño, co-founder of Red State and communications director for the Texas Public Policy Foundation.)
