2010 State of the Union Address

On Wednesday, January 27, KCRW will carry live anchored coverage of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address and the Republic response from Virginia Governor Robert F. McDonnell. Coverage will begin at 6pm, including the Republican response and post-address analysis from NPR, it is expected to last until 8 pm.

White House staff announced today that the President plans to address charges made in a report just released by the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism, led by former Republican Senator Jim Talent and former Democratic Senator Bob Graham, which warned that the nation is unprepared to cope with terrorists attacking with biological weapons.

NPR News coverage will be anchored by All Things Considered host Robert Siegel, political correspondent Mara Liasson and political editor, Ron Elving, with additional analysis from NPR reporters.
