Loretta Sanchez courts the right

Hosted by

This Wednesday, California US Senate candidates Kamala Harris and Loretta Sanchez face off in Cal State LA for the race's only scheduled debate. It's been a largely one-woman fight between the two candidates, as polls have consistently shown that Loretta Sanchez trails Harris badly. In a bid to win over Republicans, though, Sanchez has started to openly court conservatives, stumping with San Diego-area congressman Darrell Issa and even getting endorsements from the Orange County Register and pundit Hugh Hewitt. But can this move to the Right help Sanchez win -- or will it turn off liberal voters further?
