Over the weekend, the Orange County chapter of the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan tried to hold a rally in Pearson Park in Anaheim. They never had the chance, though, as counter-protestors pounced on them — but not before a Klan member stabbed three of them in what Anaheim police say was self-defense. The decision to rally in Anaheim, which is over 50% Latino, puzzled many but made sense to the Klan. The white-power movement has had a long history in the city, and Invisible Empire infamously took control of the City Council in the 1920's. Will there be more activity to come?
