But a long-festering jail-informant scandal has seriously undermined confidence in his leadership, according to a report by a committee picked by Rackauckas to investigate his office. The report led Rackauckas to invite the Department of Justice to investigate the DA's office, but many people are now calling on Rackauckas to resign in the wake of what the report called "a ruderless ship."
