What's next for protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline?

The Standing Rock Sioux tribe and their supporters have been camping at the Dakota Access Pipeline for months to protest it, but yesterday turned violent. Local police and National Guard soldiers came in military vehicles, used pepper spray and piped in high-pitched noise to clear the demonstrators. More than 140 people were arrested.
