Jobs: Texas v California

Texas governor Rick Perry has for years been saying that his state leads the nation in job creation, contrasting Texas with California, where he says regulation and high taxes squash growth. Perry’s even traveled here to woo businesses to the Lone Star state. So, is it true?

We found out today that the national unemployment rate ticked up to 6.7 percent last month. And the economy only added a modest one-hundred-seventy-five thousand jobs. Should Californians be packing their bags for Texas?
