Kshama Sawant: Bringing socialism to Seattle

Hosted by

Kshama Sawant is in her second term in Seattle’s City Council and one of the only socialists to be elected to that position in the city. Sawant talks to Robert Scheer about the evolving label of socialism and why so many young people are turning toward it. Sawant talks about the victories she believes socialism has contributed to in her city, including the $15 minimum wage. And she tells Scheer how her upbringing in India and subsequent discovery of inequality in the United States led her toward her political path.
