From La Burbuja: Gladis

Before settling down in Los Angeles, Gladis Fajardo had to make a sacrifice — she had to leave her son behind in El Salvador. The only moments that she would able to hear her son's voice was when she called Santa Ana, her native town in El Salvador. She went 12 years without seeing her family. Now, she's in the naturalization process to gain her citizenship. She wants to bring her son "who has a beard," she says.
