Alec Baldwin and James Toback: Seduced and Abandoned

Hosted by

You can hear the sound of a pen scribbling notes on paper during this ping pong match of an interview with director James Toback and actor Alec Baldwin. The two make a seemingly odd couple, but their camaraderie is what led to Seduced and Abandoned, a new doc hybrid in which they took a film crew to the Cannes Film Festival to document them pitching a semi-fictitious film to potential investors. What they brought home was a whole new perspective on the film business, which they've both been a part of for over thirty years. They share what attracted to them to Hollywood and each other, plus anecdotes from conversations with Daniel Day Lewis, Dustin Hoffman, and Orson Welles.
