Andy Serkis: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Hosted by

Chances are you know Andy Serkis as the brilliant CGI actor who brings life to animated characters like Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and that's true. But in addition to donning his CGI suit, Serkis is also greatly adept at playing real-life characters, including Ian Drury, the singer/songwriter who helped usher in punk in the 70s, and 1960s British serial killer Ian Brady. Whether he's playing real people or animated creatures, Serkis uses his voice, hands and head to create a full physical experience of his character from top to bottom. He talks about working with directors Mike Leigh and Peter Jackson, plus, his new film, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
