FROM THIS EPISODE

Since its series premiere in 2007, Mad Men has become one of television’s most honored shows, joining an elite group in 2011 when it became only the fourth drama to be awarded four consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series. In addition to the four Emmy's Mad Men has garnered three Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, among many others.

As the final run of the final season begins, show creator Matthew Weiner reflects on Don Draper's long, winding journey. Plus, his love for American short stories, and his longtime friend and mentorship with Sopranos creator David Chase.
