Mike Kelley: Revenge

Hosted by

How do you take a classic novel from the 1840's and successfully repackage it into a modern day drama set in the Hamptons? Just ask Mike Kelley, who has re-made the Alexandre Dumas' classic The Count of Monte Cristo into the hottest thing on nighttime television. Kelley is a veteran of network drama, having previously produced young adult mega-hits One Tree Hill and The O.C. He also created and executive produced the critically acclaimed, yet short-lived CBS series Swingtown, which is based off of Kelley's self-described childhood as a "banister slat kid." Kelley talks about the wealth of material in Dumas' work, how Revenge has evolved over its first season, and the secret to breaking into the Japanese television market.
