How do you take a classic novel from the 1840's and successfully repackage it into a modern day drama set in the Hamptons? Just ask Mike Kelley, who has re-made the Alexandre Dumas' classic The Count of Monte Cristo into the hottest thing on nighttime television. Kelley is a veteran of network drama, having previously produced young adult mega-hits One Tree Hill and The O.C. He also created and executive produced the critically acclaimed, yet short-lived CBS series Swingtown, which is based off of Kelley's self-described childhood as a "banister slat kid."
