His passion for the humanistic side of cinema has informed all of his work, most recently The Company You Keep, which stars Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte. In this memorable interview, taped at the Sundance Sunset Cinemas in Los Angeles, Redford talks about many of the things that inspired him throughout his life as a filmmaker, from the Beat poets to Big Sur to California jazz. This is Redford's first ever visit to The Treatment.
