Can Reformers Bring Change to Iran?

Hosted by

Before Iran’s recent Parliamentary elections, 90% of reform-minded candidates were screened out of the running.  Nonetheless, so-called “moderates” did score victories — not just in Parliament, but in the Assembly of Experts, which might well choose the next Supreme Leader.  Trita Parsi is President of the National Iranian American Council and author of A Single Roll of the Dice: Obama’s Diplomacy with Iran. He discusses what the elections mean for the Islamic Republic and for the United States.
