The US Supreme Court has created new confusion over America-s drug laws giving doctors the right to recommend medical marijuana, even though it-s illegal under federal law. Legal painkillers illegally used can be deadly. While some states are trying to legalize the medical use of marijuana mainly for treating pain the use of legal painkillers has been rising fast. That can have devastating consequences illustrated most publicly by the revelation that conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh is addicted to an opium-based drug called OxyContin. We hear from drug policy and drug prevention experts and physicians specializing in neurology about this controversial issue.
