Bumping into the Free Syrian Army

Hosted by

Veteran Middle East reporter Robin Wright is back from an assignment in Gaziantep, Turkey for the New Yorker magazine.  What she saw up close was the desperate plight of Syrian rebels, caught between the Assad government and ISIS — with expensive support from the US, which may or may not be working.  Wright, a joint fellow at the US Institute of Peace and the Woodrow Wilson Center, is author of many books about the Middle East, including Rock the Casbah.
