US Supreme Court Arguments for Gore v. Bush II

Hosted by
The question of the presidency has gone from the polling place to the Supreme Court with everyone, including the court, almost equally divided. As we await a decision, we look forward, as well as back, with analysis by a host of legal experts including former Supreme Court clerks and spokesmen for the Democrats and the Republicans. We'll consider voter protection rights and the lack of precedent for setting a vote count standard. We'll ask how the decision will impact the court's integrity - and the next President's ability to nominate a court justice.
  • Newsmaker: Update from the Supreme Court - Today's high-stakes arguments before the US Supreme Court took place in a tension-filled room under severe time constraints. David Savage, political reporter for the Los Angeles Times, was in the courtroom with Congressional representatives, campaign staff and attorneys.
