Schwarzenegger Threatens Veto over Water Deal

Hosted by

This afternoon, most of the Sacramento press corps was outside Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's office where he was meeting with the leaders of both parties in the Assembly and Senate. The Governor threatened to veto more than 700 bills passed this year if the lawmakers do not enact legislation on the state's massive water problems. The problems have reached a point of crisis, and this is the first time in decades that water users, regulators and environmental groups have come close to resolving their issues. As always, a major factor is money.
