Hosted by

A bill to replace California's death penalty with life without the possibility of parole may be on the November ballot next year. Passed by the State Senate, it failed in an Assembly Committee. Today, a group called Taxpayers for Justice says it will begin gathering signatures for an initiative measure. The executive director is Jeannie Woodford, former warden at San Quentin Prison. Another member is Gil Garcetti, former District Attorney of Los Angeles County.
