Argentina Is First Latin American Country to Legalize Gay Marriage

Early today Argentina's Senate made history in Latin America, making it the first country to legalize gay marriage. The bill, which passed by a narrow 33-to-27 margin, was sponsored by the government of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who took on the Catholic Church to make it happen.
