Hosted by

Jim Newton has been with the Los Angeles Times for 25 years as a reporter and editor. He’s also written books on Chief Justice Earl Warren and President Dwight Eisenhower.  Recently, he helped Leon Panetta write about a career that led from Congress to being head of the CIA and Secretary of Defense.  Amid all those projects, Newton has continued to write a column on the LA Times’ opinion page. Today’s, entitled "A Journalists Recipe for Fixing LA,"  is his last LA Times column.
