But amid the expressions of shock and dismay are the voices of those who say that, for years, Olympic officials have been ignoring reports of financial corruption. More sinister still are claims that widespread drug use by athletes is well known, but covered up to preserve the myth of wholesomeness that sustains the Olympic Movement.
