Housing Squeeze

Hosted by

Despite its image, Southern California is not the land of single-family home ownership.  In fact, half of the residents of Los Angeles rent their homes.  Now a shortage of rental housing, means rents are sky high, and that’s producing what KCRW’s Saul Gonzalez calls “rental refugees.”

Saul speaks with Orange County resident Carlos Hernandez, Simi Valley resident Dusty Donoho, and Richard Green, director of the Lusk Center for Real Estate at USC.
