Prop 73: Abortion Rights and Parental Notification

Hosted by
Proposition 73 would amend the state Constitution to require doctors to notify parents 48 hours before performing abortions on an unmarried minor under the age of 18. Though it's not one of the measures placed on next month's ballot by Governor Schwarzenegger, he does support it. Supporters say it's not a direct threat to the right to abortion itself, but opponents call it a foot in the door. Is it "common sense" or a "threat to teen safety?" We talk with campaigners for both sides and to women young enough to be directly effected.
