This week, by a vote of five to four, the US Supreme Court approved part of a three-drug cocktail used for executions in Oklahoma. Under a legal settlement, Governor Brown how has 120 days to propose a way to implement the death penalty in California. There has not been an execution for nine years, and death row is crowded with 750 people. Maura Dolan covers legal affairs for the Los Angeles Times.
