Ten Years Later, Our Listeners Speak Out

Hosted by
Ten years after the Rodney King riots, is Los Angeles finally coming together or splitting apart? Is there any connection between America's worst civil disturbance of the 20th Century and the secession movement under way now? On this special one-hour call-in program, we speak with civic and business leaders, then hear from our listeners. Mark Whitlock is the Executive Director of FAME Renaissance, an economic rebuilding effort established by the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in 1992. Democrat Carl Washington represents the state Assembly's 52nd District, which includes areas of Los Angeles, Compton, Long Beach and Watts. Torie Osborn is Executive Director of the Liberty Hill Foundation, which grants funds to local grassroots groups.
