With so many Jewish and Arab residents, greater Los Angeles is deeply connected to events in the Middle East. Yesterday afternoon, parts of Wilshire Boulevard were shut down while 1000 people marched from the federal building to the Israeli consulate, protesting the deaths of innocent Palestinians. Just hours later, hundreds gathered in West Hills to mourn the death of native citizen Max Steinberg, one of 25 Israeli soldiers killed so far in the invasion. We’ll hear local voices on both sides. Is the so-called Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement an effective tool of justice for Palestinians or a one-sided attack on Israel?
