"1968 and Protest: Turmoil in the Streets", Part two of a two-part panel discussion of one of the most tumultuous year's in this nation's 20th century history. This discussion reflects back on the student anti-war protests; the riots following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; the violent clashes between protesters and police at the Chicago Democratic Convention, and other examples of civil unrest during 1968. Panelists include Reverend Jesse Jackson, John Lewis, Frank Mankiewicz, and M. Stanton Evans. Moderated by Robert MacNeil, former co-anchor of the MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour on PBS.
