Utilities cut off power as a wildfire precaution

Due to Santa Ana winds, gusts in some parts of LA could top 60 mph. Power lines could fall down and set things on fire. So the big utilities are planning preemptive strikes by turning off the power for hundreds of thousands of people all over the state.
