The Supreme Court kicks off what’s expected to be another landmark term today, one that could mark the court’s most significant conservative shift in decades.

On Tuesday, the court will hear a case about whether the protections under the Civil Rights Act extend to people who are gay and transgender.

Other cases this term involve protections for DACA recipients, abortion rights, gun rights, and religious freedom.
