Firefighter shortage hits US Forest Service ahead of grim fire season

The U.S. Forest Service is struggling to hire enough firefighters to handle what’s expected to be a brutal wildfire season. 

This summer, the Supreme Court will likely gut the landmark Roe v. Wade precedent or overturn it entirely. Democratic states are preparing for their own post-Roe reality.
