Drought Politics and Cable TV Mergers

President Obama visited California's Central Valley on Friday, where he announced drought aid to farmers, food banks and rural communities. After landing in Fresno, the president held what the White House called "a roundtable with community leaders." KCRW's Steve Chiotakis spoke with Sasha Khokha, Central Valley Bureau Chief for The California Report. Steve also spoke with Joe Flint, business reporter for the LA Times, about cable giant Comcast's announcement on Thursday that it had agreed to buy Time Warner Cable for $45 billion.
