CA Parks Need to Diversify and Upgrade to Survive

Hosted by

Three years ago, California was threatening to close state parks due to a lack of maintenance and declining attendance. At the same time, park officials were found to be stashing away millions of dollars. Governor Brown appointed a commission called Parks Forward, which has come up with a plan to preserve almost 2 million acres of beaches, forests and historic sites and increase access for a population that’s more diverse than ever.
