Candidates Vie to Fill Bernard Parks' Seat

Hosted by

Since he won election to the LA City Council, former LAPD Chief Bernard Parks has been a lonely voice as a fiscal watchdog, often opposed to powerful labor unions. Now he's termed out and — ironically — unions may have a major role in determining his replacement.  Catherine Saillant is covering the 8th District contest for the LA Times.

The four main contenders to replace Parks are:

Forescee Hogan-Rowles
Marqueece Harris-Dawson
Bobbie Jean Anderson
Robert Cole
