Phase One of the Expo Line from downtown to the beach in Santa Monica reached Culver City last year. Evidence of Phase Two is visible in many places all over the Westside. But the major new cause of traffic congestion wasn't originally part of the plans and only recently received funding. It's a bridge that will take the trains west from Culver City over Venice and Robertson Boulevards.
(In addition to our two guests, we also hear from KCRW's Saul Gonzalez who interviews Nick Wayne, owner of Upstairs/Downstairs, near the intersection of Venice and Robertson.)
