Elias Khoury

Gate of the Sun (Archipelago)
Lebanese Elias Khoury speaks of the years he spent developing his craft and maturing as a writer in order to be worthy of his subject: the recent history of the Palestinian people. Although the novel has been declared a masterpiece and has been awarded many prizes, this is the first time Khoury explores the dark comedy and passion at the heart of his project.
