Family, the ties that bind and, sometimes, strangle. Writer-director Andrew Wagner's(The Talent Given to Us, Looking for Jimmy) made this the subject of two movies, including his newest, Starting Out in the Evening. He helps us unravel the knots.

Frank Langella stars as writer Leonard Schiller, who is trying to complete what may well be his last novel as his daughter (Lili Taylor) struggles with her loves and maternal desires and an ambitious writer (Lauren Ambrose) wants to "rediscover" Schiller.
