Kring talks about the challenges of writing a show with so many story lines and characters; his influences, which range from The Incredibles and Watchmen to Charles Dickens; meeting the demands of a very vocal and tech-savvy fans; the show's evolving color palette and this season's focus on characters' special powers and their use for good or evil.
